It had been
three weeks since Jackal had moved in with Tigerboy, Mojo, and Henry. Henry had almost figured out a plan to help
himself be a better candidate for mayor.
Mojo had just opened the Daily Post when he said, “Hey guys. Look.”
They all crowded
around to see a big article saying, ‘Be on the lookout for Conner Wolf. He was spotted in an alley near
Some people think he
is a criminal, but some think he is a good guy because he is just getting rid
of guilty criminals for good. He only
takes on the people who are guilty.
Conner Wolf sometimes goes to other cities than Catropolis. If two people are paying him to catch someone
he will go for the person who is paying him the most. Tigerboy was not sure what he believed about
Conner Wolf. The only thing he knew
about Conner Wolf was that he was a stubborn punk and that he only cared about
money.
The next day Dr. Mega
Dog found Conner Wolf and offered to pay him $500 to catch The Jackal. Conner Wolf accepted and set off to find the
Jackal. Tigerboy and Jackal were playing
checkers while Henry was telling Mojo what he was going to say in his speech to
the citizens of Catropolis. Just then
the door flew open and there was Conner Wolf.
Mojo fell off his chair and Henry gasped. Tigerboy said in a small voice, “You’re
Conner Wolf!”
Conner Wolf chuckled
and sprang at The Jackal. Knocking
Jackal to the floor, Tigerboy grabbed Conner Wolf. Right as Tigerboy grabbed him; Conner Wolf
elbowed him right in the chest, threw him in a closet, and locked the
door. Conner punched Jackal in the head
and Jackal fell on the floor, unconscious!
